Restoring Our Womanhood

Scrap of Faith is a Christian Crafting Site dedicated to inspiring women in their faith and in their hobbies.

Each month a new theme will be posted, with verses to encourage, with challenges to inspirire you both in your faith and in your craft. We hope that you will jump on board the journey of Restoring your Womanhood and that God will use these challanges to draw us closer to Him and also give us a purpose in our roles.

We would love to hear from those who are following along so please leave a comment, and share a link to your blog :-) Also on the Scrap of Faith forum there is a weekly thread for encouraging each other through the journey.

Cubes of Change
This months project was a lot of fun to put together. I chose to go with the physical change in my family over the years by using the first pic of Dh & I and baby pics of my children with current pics of us. I then added Bible verses rub-ons & stickers to highlight how God changes us by his indwelling Holy Spirit, by prayer and obedience to him.

As I was working on my project I was thinking how has God changed me. BUT the question that kept coming to mind was have I let God change me. God does change us but we can get in the way of that process by our disobedience and pride. We often think we can change ourselves, but those changes are short lived. It is when we give ourselves over to God and listen to His Holy Spirit and live in obedience to him that we see changes in our lives.
AS we rely on the Holy Spirit we begin to see the fruits of the spirit in our lives. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodnesss, faithfullness, gentleness and self control.
So my question of have I let God change me, yes I have but its a long and slow process and it will be continuing all the way through this life.
love & Blessings
Gail
Dont forget to upload pics of this project and any others that you complete into our gallery.

I love them Gail :) - and you are so right - lasting change needs to be from God, not in our own strength
